There ain’t no party like it…
A weekend exclusively for 9th – 12th graders
Meet us at URJ Camp Newman for the best weekend of the year with over 350 teens from across the West Coast!
West Coast Party is a biennial event that brings together Jewish teens in 9th through 12th grade from URJ Camp Newman, URJ Camp Kalsman – and all four NFTY regions (CWR, SOCAL, SW & NW). There really is no party like it. Teens have the opportunity to reunite with friends from past programs and meet tons of new ones.
All Jewish teens are welcome – you do not need to be a NFTY or Camp participant!
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR THOSE FLYING TO THE EVENT: Due to high demand for this event, we anticipate the event selling out quickly. We encourage you to wait until you after you receive your enrollment confirmation email to ensure that you have a space at the event. You are not required to input your flight information during registration. A separate travel form will be emailed to you in your enrollment confirmation email. Camp Newman is not responsible for flight fees if you do not receive a space at the event.
BUS: Bus Transportation will be provided from several points throughout Northern California. Please note we must have at least 10 participants to run a bus stop. We will post the bus schedule here closer to the event.
PLANE: If you are traveling by plane, a bus and Camp Newman staff members will be on hand for pick up and drop off. We have a great relationship with Southwest Airlines at Oakland Airport. We suggest that you book travel on Southwest whenever possible.

Is there scholarship available for West Coast Party?
For participants from the Southwest and Southern California, the Levy Scholarship is available. Please click here for more information.
Additionally, we encourage you to reach out to your home congregation for other financial support.
Please note that it will appear that you are paying the full amount at checkout. Each registration is manually processed and scholarships or discounts are processed on the back end prior to your credit card being charged.
I participate in NFTY events, why is it telling me I do not have an account?
As this event is hosted by Camp Newman, participants from the Southwest and Northwest/Camp Kalsman or those who have not previously attended a NFTY event this year, will be required to create a new account in our system.
If you are from California or Nevada, and have attended a Camp Newman or NFTY CWR/SOCAL event this year, you already have an account and you should use those credentials to login.
Do I need to book my own flights?
Yes, each participant must arrange for their own flight to Oakland. Please refer to our transportation information for travel parameters. The Congregations/NFTY regions will not be arranging transportation.
I am a congregational representative providing a scholarship for a teen, how do I let you know?
If you would like Camp Newman to apply the scholarship to your teen(s) registration and bill your congregation, please use the form below to notify us of the scholarships that you will grant. Once you have submitted this request form, please inform your teen(s) that the scholarship will be applied directly to their registration. No other steps are required for this scholarship to be applied.

I have received a scholarship for West Coast Party but it did not show up when I registered. Am I still going to receive it?
Will my youth group advisor be there?
Unlike NFTY regional events, your congregation’s youth professional may not be on site for West Coast Party. Each NFTY regional advisor will be present as well as staff from Camp Newman and Camp Kalsman. As always, health and safety is our number one concern and we bring together an extraordinary staffing team for this event.
