There are many special memories that we carry with us throughout our lives. Maybe it’s your second grade teacher, your first crush, possibly your high school graduating class. For many of us, we remember a particular time in our lives when the experiences and the people who lived with us in that moment are precious. Camp Newman is like that for many people.
It can often be awe inspiring to see people support and return to a place from their youth, a place that meant so much to them. I didn’t have a Newman in my life growing up, and so from the outside looking in, I think it is amazing the community that comes together here in this place. I enjoyed seeing all the alumni throughout Shabbat come out and share their stories, their songs, their cheers, and most importantly their ruach.
