Our camp’s talent show, “Newman Under the Stars,” traditionally acts as our primary stage to sit back, relax and enjoy our community’s bountiful talent, and this year’s was one to remember. Our showcase was headlined by self-described “neo-tribal, Jewish, industrial re-percussionist” Billy Jonas, one of this summer’s artists in residence.  It was the teens of Camp Newman, however, who owned the stage.

“NUTS,” as it is affectionately known, is an opportunity for campers of all ages to show their bunkmates, as well as other Eidot, talents not seen on the Frisbee field or Adventure Mountain. The audience was treated to performances that spanned nearly every emotion but ultimately left staff and campers alike with a tremendous feeling of nachas.
