We are so fortunate at Camp Newman to have a lot of amazing faculty who come to work with our campers on a variety of amazing projects.  For Hagigah, our faculty is made up of visual artists, writers, rabbis, cantors, dancers, and musicians.  One of our faculty members, who comes to us for two weeks every summer is Dan Nichols.  One of the events during the first session that the campers really look forward to is the Dan Nichols concert.  The Beit T’fillah becomes a music venue like any other.  We have seats, but we rarely sit in them.  Everyone sings along to their favorites, and Dan calls members of our staff to lead the crown in song.

Today I am featuring a part of the concert that was probably one of my favorites of the night.  Dan reflected on the origin of his Esai Enai, and how organically it came from silence.  Inviting one of our songleaders, Robin, up to join him and Rosh Shira/Head Songleader Jackson on the stage to lead this beautiful rendition.  I have probably listed to this recording over a dozen times and you will certainly do the same.
